Signal Hill, is extremely important for 2 reason. 1, It was the site where Guglielmo Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal from Poldhu, Cornwall, in 1901. 2, The hill was also the site of the Battle of Signal Hill in 1762, the last battle of the Seven Years War in North America, where British regained St. John’s from the French. 

Cape Spear, not as important as signal hill. It is the easternmost point of not just Canada, but all of North America. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and of the classic lighthouse. Definitely is one of my favorite location to go to!
